One scan across everything
Your media library, your products, your blog posts and your galleries, read in a single pass. A scan reads and records. It changes nothing on your site.
The problem
Wix has no bulk alt text editing and no alt text field in the Media Manager, and no view anywhere of how much of your library is described. So the images with nothing on them stay that way: a screen reader skips them and Google Images cannot index them, and there is no screen that would ever tell you how many there are.
Today
Screen reader hears (nothing) Google Images has nothing to index either.
After AltProof
Screen reader hears Glazed stoneware mug in speckled blue, held in two hands over a linen tablecloth One sentence, written and then approved by you.
Both lines are the prototype's own opening screen, which sets exactly these two beside each other.
What you get
Your media library, your products, your blog posts and your galleries, read in a single pass. A scan reads and records. It changes nothing on your site.
One number across accessibility and SEO, with alt text coverage, description quality, filename hygiene and file weight underneath it, plus where the gaps are by location.
The paid model reads the surrounding page copy, the product title and the category, so the description says what the image is in context rather than in isolation. Tone and length are yours to set.
Approve, edit or reject in batches. Nothing goes live until you say so, and every change can be reverted from the version history. Where an API cannot write, you get the text and a one click copy instead.
IMG_4021.jpg tells Google nothing. You get a name that does, applied in bulk where Wix allows it, with every reference to the file updated before the old name retires.
A timestamped report against WCAG 2.2 AA criterion 1.1.1, with the full remediation trail: every image, its original state, what changed and when. A one off generator cannot produce that and you cannot reconstruct it afterwards.
What it looks like
Missing
No description at all. This is most of a typical library.
Duplicate
The same text reused across images, which Wix's own guidance warns against.
Filename used as the text
IMG_4021.jpg, read aloud, character by character.
Too short
One word where a sentence is needed. Image, photo, or the product name on its own.
Keyword stuffing
Written for a search engine rather than for a person. Flagged, not rewarded.
Decorative
Spacers, dividers and background textures. These are meant to be empty, and describing them is the mistake that fails an audit.
The first five are the plan's own weak alt text list and the prototype's audit filters. Decorative is on it because an empty description is the right answer there and a naive generator gets it wrong.

Every name here is the prototype's own suggested renames table. A rename updates every reference to the file across pages, products and posts before the old name retires, so nothing breaks.

Questions
No. A scan reads and records. Every description waits in a review queue for you to approve, edit or reject, and anything applied can be reverted from the version history.
Wix has no bulk alt text editing and no alt text field in the Media Manager. Fixing a few hundred images means opening them one at a time in the Editor, and nothing shows you the coverage across your site while you do it.
You still get the description written, a prioritised worklist and a one click copy for each image. Static images placed on Editor pages have no app facing write path, so those are pasted across by hand. That is stated here rather than discovered after installing.
Spacers, dividers and background textures carry no information. The correct answer for them is an empty description so a screen reader skips them instead of reading noise. Describing them anyway is the mistake that makes naive AI alt text fail an audit.
No. It documents observed conformance for non-text content at the time it is generated, and the report says so on its face. It is evidence of ongoing remediation, which is a different and more useful thing.
