AI Visibility

See whether the AI assistants your customers ask actually mention you.

One email on the day it opens, and nothing else.

The problem

Somebody asks an assistant who is best in your category. You never see the answer.

The assistant names a handful of businesses, and yours is in that list or it is not. The answer is different on every engine, it moves from one week to the next, and it is not even the same twice in a row on the same engine, so looking once tells you nothing you can act on.

One answer to "affordable CRM for small agencies"Perplexity
For a small agency watching cost, a few tools come up again and again. A competitor is the one most people land on first, and another is the cheapest way in. Your business is the better fit for a team that bills by retainer.

Named in two runs of three on this engine. One answer is not a measurement, which is why the same question goes to each engine more than once and what comes back is how often you were named.

What you get

Six things it does for you

The questions come from your site

It is installed inside your site, so it reads what you sell, what you do and where you are, and writes the questions your buyers would actually type. Nobody hands you an empty box and asks for a list of prompts.

Asked more than once, every time

The same question put to the same engine twice gives two answers. Asking once and reporting the result as a fact is how these tools get caught out, so every question is run several times and reported as how often, not whether.

Who else the answer named

The businesses that appear beside you, how often each one does, and where in the answer you land: named first, or seventh in a list nobody reads to the end.

What it said about you

The answers are kept, so you can read the words rather than a score, and on the top plan you get how the model describes you and not only whether it mentioned you at all.

Which pages and which sites fed it

The URLs the answer cited, including your own, and the third party sites the model leant on. That is the actionable one: it is how you find out the answers in your category come from three directories you are not listed on.

What moved, once a week

A weekly report of what went up and what went down, on which engine, and an email straight away when something swings hard enough to be worth looking at now.

What it looks like

Where the answers come from

The three engines, and how each one is read
  • ChatGPT

OpenAI, asked with web search turned on.

    Official API
  • Perplexity

Answered from a live search every time.

    Official API
  • Google AI Overviews

Google publishes no interface for it, so it is read through a search data vendor, which adds drift of its own.

    No API

An API answer is not the same thing a person sees in the app, and this page would rather say so than imply a precision the data does not have.

Questions

Before you install

Is this what I would see if I asked ChatGPT myself?

Close, and not identical. We ask through the official interface with web search on. What you see in the app is shaped by your own history, your account and whatever the app remembers about you, and none of that applies to us. Every tool in this category has that gap. We would rather name it.

Why ask the same question several times?

Because the answer changes between runs. A single reading moves on its own and you would report it as a bug, quite reasonably. Asking repeatedly is what turns the result into a rate you can compare with last week's.

Where does Google AI Overviews come from?

A search data vendor, because Google offers no other way to read it. That is one more layer between the answer and you, and it is worth knowing when a number from that engine moves.

Do I have to write the questions?

No. They are generated from your own site the moment you install, and you can edit any of them, delete them or add your own afterwards.

Can you make an assistant recommend me?

No, and nobody can. What this does is tell you what is being said, which of your pages the answer used and which sites it went to instead of yours. What you do about that is on your side of the line.
